Would love to and thanks for the invitation. Your picture reminded of a place I used to go do some business reading when I worked downtown. It is so peaceful. I had several of these hideways around downtown where I would escape the phone and emails to get caught up on issues. These are little treasures that cities should have and do more of.

Your Lady is absolutely beautiful! Read Wiki information and had to smile at the shared space the plaza enjoys: concerts, movies, etc. The Keller Auditorium is home to the Portland Opera Company, and faces the Fountain. The opening season of the opera is “broadcast” on a huge screen outside the building…facing the fountain. The fountain, turned off, becomes multi-layered seating for 3-5 thousand Portlanders who bring blankets, chairs, wine and food…to watch the opera on screen while sitting on the concrete slabs…for free…under the stars! Aren’t we fortunate, FrankA, that our cities embrace ART in many forms…….

Cincinnatians love the lady and the square. Cincinnati has a rich music history, thus one big reason it was the first US city to host the World Choir games … which was a huge success! Raye, I love the abstract water reflections – you’ve got a great eye for color! The steps and stone slabs of the pool remind me of a miniature Fallingwater.

The Ira Keller Fountain is one of Portland’s most beautiful public works of ART. A visual surprise at every turn, especially now surrounded by autumn colours. Thank you so much for your comment.
