MOSTLY ABOUT JOTS…

WC:FIVE FISH

jot (jot) v.t. To make a hasty note of.

jot-ting (jot-‘ing) n. A brief note.

__n. The least bit; an iota.

i-o-ta (i-o-ta) n. A small or insignificant mark or part.

__Syn. 2. jot, particle, shred, speck, whit.

It’s difficult to know what to say out loud. Shout about. Or, duck tape the mouth about.ย  My Reader has proclaimed non-bearing of grudges and certainly no annoying voices of gripes, vexedness, and/or bad attitudes.

My Reader encourages the least bits. With humour, please. Yes. Humour is good.

That about says it all.

Observations here and there with a whit of whim.

Sometimes in a hurry.

Sometimes not…

  2. Hi Jots. Before summer we talked about meeting up next time I came to Seattle. I was here in July, but time flew. Now I have just returned and I thought I should try before I suddenly will have to leave again (I am here until the end of the month). Would be fun to meet up. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Hello. I think you are a wonderful artist and I love your work! Please allow me to nominate you to the Blog Tour Award. Even though you may not care much about awards, I assure you that I would be very happy to read your answers for these 5 questions. This is the blog post: http://michellemaya2005.wordpress.com/2015/06/30/one-tutorial-a-day-for-31-days-day-31-of-my-journey-inspired-by-a-flower-wreath/ Have a wonderful day! Mihaela

    1. Oh, you Sweet-Tea, you!! Sad to say I’m still where I was before. The offer made fell through…no fault of mine. So I’m opening my “old” apartment door, putting the kettle on and placing yummy biscuits on the table so we can have a nice girlie chat. I am so smiling…..
Will be gone for a fortnight beginning Wednesday…London birthday parties to attend, and then selfie-days at St. Leonards on Sea, E. Sussex coast. Painting, drawing, walking the downs. Hoping all is well on your nice slice….!

    1. Barney,
You and Hugh are both spot on with your posts this great Portland Sunday morning. After reading Hugh and then you, realized how envious, and how I covet (yes…the sinful C-word) others’ “deep thoughts”, the time to think, to sit…to write. To write the truth that keeps me, for one, going…jumping for justice…fist raised for equality…and oft times, smiles for sanity! Thank you [sincerely] for thoughts well said…all of you: yourself, Hugh, BTG…you know…yous guys.

  6. Hi There!
Would you be willing to participate in something we are doing for Susie Lindau on Friday morning? I am contacting as many of her followers as possible. My thought is that we all post on our own blogs on Friday with the same title, “Susie Strong”. The content would say something simple like, We are thinking of you. I haven’t known Susie for long but this blogging world is such a family. I thought it would be nice for her to see this message from as many of us as possible. Her husband is going to be updating us after her surgery. He can tell her or she can see it once she is up to it. Are you in? Thanks, Maria aka brickhousechick

    1. of course of course!!!!!
I was going to post something about Susie’s last post on my blog tomorrow but I’ll wait now until Friday…it would be perfect timing. Yes, and part of my comment was going to be about “our” family and the community we have created…the community Susie has created. Thank you so much, Maria, for the inclusion…count me in. Raye

      1. The flow of the words – the tone, all remind me of my dear Mr. Salinger. I had the great fortune of discovering him at 14. Then in 1971, I emboldened myself to write to him. It was kindly forwarded by his publisher. To my amazement, several weeks later, he replied! We corresponded sporadically for several years and then miracle of miracles, I was invited to come visit. It was only the one visit in the dead of winter, but…..so if I say your writing is like JD, it is! So there. Through him, when I was 14, I was introduced to Zen and from there on, to cherry blossoms, red maples, Things Japanese, different trains of thought and perception. So that is why my blog is South Meets East – my little words are a homage to that beginning and to a past lover (not JD) of 6 years.

    1. Well! Aren’t you just the sweetest Sweet-Tea ever!! I’m in my own “mud room” at the moment: tightening skin tone, sweating pores and peering through cucumber chips at my computer imagining myself “beautiful again”. Let me tell you, mon cheri…it’s an entire uphill slog. Will respond as soon as I find my garden hose to rinse off…

      1. You paint a very vivid picture… Would definitely be an uphill slog here. Was out to lunch today at Bella Italia in Norwich where the lighting in the loo has to be the most unkind ever. Bit of a shock to the system. Move over and share the mud!

                1. This is serious talk, NoZ. I’m a bit, no I’m a lot worried about this game of Red Lobster, Red Lobster, It’s Time to Come Over. All that linking, plinking, & kerplunking.
But….you were just kidding right? I don’t really have to link, plink or kerplunk?

    1. Thank you NoZ for this honour. I’ll get over the shiver my timbers number in a little while. I’ve just got to keep the important things in life on an even keel, balanced, unteetered and not tottered and….remember to bring the marshmallows to our campfire.

      Snort…snort

      1. I always keep the campfire in my back pocket, which probably explains a lot. Keels aren’t meant to be even, they’re catty-cornered for a reason, I just don’t know what that reason might be at the moment.

You teeter and I’ll totter and we’ll balance the marshmallows with the graham chocolate crackers, swing the spotted raccoon by the nostrils and sing “Blue Moon” at noontime.

  12. Yes I know that! I keep trying to delete “Baying” and end up re-subscribing. It’s the “double clicker handicap” thing. I’ll keep unsubscribing…you keep telling me telling me to continue…not a good plan…but a plan. My turn: continue…

    1. Ouch, Tony…you’ve caught me with my fingers between the keys. Started to post last pm and, 1) couldn’t figure out how to get the snaps all up and not just the one, 2) figured I was too knackered to worry about it, and 3) frankly, Scarlett, I just didn’t give a damn. Changing my moniker to: double-clicker challenged…..
