Wait! Wait! shouts My Reader. Geese? What geese? That’s a cow…I don’t see any geese!

Yes, it is definitely a cow …! But what a beautiful one.

🙂 Cows are comforting as I come from Eastern Oregon, but geese…please tell me more 🙂
Enjoy the remaining days of summer, R., hopefully you’ll have some sunshine!

More sunshine here, R., before fall/winter sets in! Squirrels are so busy gathering, gathering. I think they know something the rest of us don’t? The geese? Another story. Another day…

Enjoy the sunshine ~ not a better place to be than in the PNW in summer/fall 🙂 The squirrels always seem to know a bit more, they do not believe in procrastination as the rest of us…

My dream trip…back to Italy…Siena is definitely on the radar. Don’t answer this but I do hope you are going to eat (and learn how to cook unless you do already which I know you do) some absolutely to-die-for Swedish food! HA….just kidding…that would be Italian cucina and let us not forget the cafe’ lattes. Have several for me…and then some. Drink for both of us!!
Make a journal. Make it the trip of just one life time…since you have many more to come! Loving you from this west side of the planet and wishing…I were going with! XOXOXRR

Few people are aware that Horace Walpole, referred to as “Bubba” by his mates, wore the number 47 as a cricketer while a student at Stafford-on-Thames. Being something of a savant when it comes to arcane trivia on 18th century British prep-school athletics, I picked up on that right away.

A-HA!…a typical response from a well-affected, well-meaning, well-intentioned Wellington wearing Walpole wannabe….I picked up on that right away. (Hi Darling…how was your holiday?)

Wonderful! We were able to avoid the Portland heat wave and the coast was serene. The only thing missing was a cocktail with my favorite blogger. Raincheck?

Went to the local rodeo last night. Though this is a cow, it resembled the bulls (just without horns), which charged around the arena. Photos to follow…. no geese.

Just so you know….geese horns are removed early on. Much to dangerous to sport in any arena…rodeo or otherwise. Honk if you agree….

When your days are numbered, it is OK to think you are a goose. Or, even a swan, #47.

True words….”days are numbered” once one (geese or swans or otherwise) reach a certain age. Truer words: keep dancing!

Oh, she’s gorgeous! I love the transitions in the squares, and the way the orange contrasts with the purple you’ve used. Smashing! 🙂

Rebecca…I’ll take that “smashing” thank you very much! Remember your post of painting squares and I commented that I was going to try it, too? NUMBER FORTY SEVEN is the result….I somehow got lost along the way….

De’-ja vu all over again, Hugh. Your comment from THE WEATHER REPORT “…a bird in the bowl plus three in the bush” applies here. Loosely. Applies loosely. You are so welcome.

You have taken me to greener pastures.
I might be Number 48 or 47 or 100,001. But historically, metaphorically, and possibly probably existentially it is better to behold the cow of someone else. Whatever the hell that means.

Greener pastures……ahh such a visual. But that’s all. Greener. Pastures. That’s it. Whatever. Meanings, taken in and/or out of context….so over rated!

I will (I hope) start solidifying it this Friday and for the next 17 days after as I wander the Tuscan countryside…
As for the sparkle! Did I ever this past Thursday and Saturday, celebrating Mehndi Night and Wedding for my neighbour and former babysitter!
