  6. What we are used to? Feet (not inches) of water falling from the sky! OVER one foot so far and that is JUST for the month of December! One would think we’d tighten our braces and get on with it! Nah…

    1. As you know, aFa, this ice/freezing is just an inconvenience for the moment….nothing like the weather disasters experienced in other parts of our country/world. Grateful for the beauty of this day…

  10. A women of her word, weather we like or not. She comes off cold. Hard to handle, a sight to behold. But that icy stare makes her hard to embrace.

    1. No complaints, R., since I don’t have to work outside like, in a former farm life, that was the norm. Now, it is beautiful, inconvenient [some] but also temporary for the most part. The journey continues….

  13. Tread carefully! I just drove through Portland in a blinding rain after Christmas. I thought I was really in for trouble over the Blues, but by golly, by The Dalles, it cleared up and dried up. I was danged lucky all that water wasn’t freezing to the freeway.

  15. Like a good artist, you see more than the rest of us! But we do see the ice sickles here in Minnesota — and hoar frost as well, which we also love!

    1. No complaints (small ones maybe)…compared to some of other weather being passed around in other places at the moment. Your area receives regular winter dumps of snow, right?
      Do you ever get used to it? Portland….not used to anything but yards of water falling from the sky…and we tend not to be gracious about it come February, March, April, May…..

      1. We’ve been so lucky this year in NE Ohio. Just got our first snow yesterday. But I suspect it will melt soon since the temps are warming up. But yes, we get some regular big snow dumps. Icky.

    Do be careful, my friend! We have gorgeous sunshine… and -20 C that feels like -30 C…
    Sorry, I lie, that was this morning, we are now at a balmy -13 C, that feels like -21 C
    I used the excuse that I had to cook to stay in and Zeke went out with my son. Win-Win, I say!
