    1. The New Year, P. is just about here for you. Long way to go for me. You’ll have to stay up and let me know that you’ve ushered in this fantastic New Year 2016 for the both of us. Grins. Looking forward to this New Year…like never before. What’s with that anyway? More grins.

    1. Oh, my goodness! What an honour for me to have YOU now a member of…JOTS!!! WOW. Members aren’t really members….they are friends. Just a warning. And, same back to you…I found you through Painted Pear through I can’t remember….aren’t we all related anyway and it was just a matter of time before we wandered in to the same party?
Thank you, Charlie. Happy New Year!!

    1. Happy Christmas to you and Mrs. Right A. This is going to be a toot’s potatoes year for a lot of us….I’d say all of us but can’t speak for absolutely everyone…so I’ll just go for all those with their hands in the air wanting to be counted!!! xoxRoseCityRaye

    1. I would like to think we are mutually inspired by David K. and his offerings. I have left my [corner-to-wall] chair several times because of his work. Peace offerings, I call them. Soul peace.
Thank you sincerely for being here. Raye

  2. I returned for several reasons … December starts with two special remembrances for me – a good friend and my mother-in-law (back-to-back anniversary days) … plus we have a common friend approaching a date.

On top of that, I see the wave of weather in your area … so I hope all is well …. and for my bonus, I see the new pic. A toast to the Rose City Queen … a hottie! 😉

    1. Morning, aFa. Thanks for the return. Left you a message on your latest. Goodness…!!! It’s waaaaaay at the bottom. Seek and ye shall find…… Portland, by Sunday, will have 10 inches of rain…that’s is just this past week. (Half a month to go.) Four inches fell on Monday past. It was conversation weather to be sure!!!!! Homes along our rivers/creeks are not faring well. Landslides on major roads and main arterial freeways is making travel a dangerous proposition. We keep looking at the bright side…the snow is falling hard and steady…making our snow pack the best we’ve had in over two years. Let us not forget the skiing! All smiles ’round. Snow pack also benefits drought stricken northern California and Washington. We are tough here. Pioneers still wearing flannel shirts and boots with tread…not hotties as imagined. Ask Dale…we Skype at odd times…early mornings with no make-up and bed-hair. Not pretty. Certainly not hottie material…..Grins to you on this, yet again, wet Saturday, Frank. RRR

    1. Oh…we are underwater here in Portland. It’s rained our whole average monthly allotment in the past 12 hours. Flood and landslide warnings just posted. A gray day to be sure. Thank you always, Sammy, for the comment…except the one re: photo. Not too sure about it myself but then, that is just me. Next time…I’ll have my dog, Z-Z, take the photo…she’s a better photographer. I’m sure!!! Grinning……

      1. So sorry to hear about your soggy weather 😟 we often get the remnants after they’ve given you a good soaking. I wish I could share my sunshine with you today 💞

    1. Too much sadness for too many this year, Frank, and emotionally magnified at this time of year. I know. I’ve celebrated first holidays without a loved one recently passed. I know many others have, as well. We can do so much better. But…don’t.

      Thank you, Friend.

    1. Anne,
Thank you, always for your comments. Question: do you enhance the colour when you post yours/students watercolour images? When I scan my finished art into the computer they seem to lose some of their vibrancy. Any thoughts? Raye

    1. Yes, Calvin said it the very best.
Thank you always, Carol, for stopping by.
And, yes…rain or shine…Z-Z and I are out the door EARLY every day.
Elmer Fudd said it best, “No west for the wicked.”
If we were playing Northwest Rain Poker: I could, most likely, call you on rain totals and raise you two inches…or more. In the kitty is a new pair of bright yellow wellies. Are you in or out?

    1. Darling, always good of you to drop by. I do so enjoy your shining countenance…but not your chores. For you…red bow on your new shovel. Barn treat from me!

    2. Keith this ones for you: Looks as if I’ve used the wrong reply arrow/comment box for all my replies! HA!!…instead of down you have to look up…I think. I’ve always been direction-ally challenged. No matter…always good to see you here, Keith. Thank you.

      1. Raye, I have commented in the wrong place more than a few times. One of the many Lisa’s I follow laughs when I would scroll down to comment in the previous post comment section for the current one. Have a great day. Keith

    1. You said in words what I truly had no words for…the inspiration for this image. I’ve read all the words that have been said. I’ve listened to all the reasons and all the excuses that have been made and accepted. And accepted. And…accepted…

    2. Did you notice, Darling, the brand new shovel with the red bow on it? Standing against the barn wall? Did you also notice I did respond to your comment but put it in the wrong place…not cool.
      It’s above…above Keith.

      1. Am I to assume that your reply to me regarding accepted and accepted and such was meant for some other lucky commenter? I didn’t think my comment about your pen strokes was as moving and poignant as your original reply.

        1. Poignant…big word. Shovel…still shoveling. Get the latest Portland weather report? We are slowly but [raining] steadily being flooded out to the Pacific Ocean. Hoping all is well with loved ones here…and all those where you are. Happiest of holidays to you and yours where ever they may be, 1pointed. Raye

  4. Amin, ‘so be it, truly’. on common ground we have peace. Be the bows blue, white, red for France or red, white and blue for those in San Bernardino; we have much to remember this season. Much to think about. And how we can contribute and kiss the world better or paint the world better in this case.
