Thursday “Timeout for Art” challenge….using one’s left hand. Since I don’t really have the choice of which hand (it will be the left)Β for the next couple of weeks…we’ll all just have to grin and bear it as my left-hand gets the full monty of use.
Check out artist Lisa’s ZEEBRA DESIGNS & DESTINATIONS for more Timeout for Art….and more “just for the challenge’ left-handed artistic attempts.
hey amiga
how are you doing? how’s your hand? it’s frustrating to have to ask someone to put a nail in the wall, isn’t it?
i tried all day to get back to your blog (and mine) but the slow connection just wouldn’t work. do you go by ruth, rae or both? after a good night’s sleep, i awakened with clarity, but couldn’t get through to confirm!
time for slumber!

Ola Z! Our time zones are wonky! Doing a post today for Timeout… another pencil drawing…left-hand doing well, I think in that department. Although frustrating at times. You can be the judge of that. My frustration is temporary…not like your frustrations in slow internet access. Your post with all our Timeout work was muy bueno. Gracias for your hard work in posting…..Raye it is.

missy tm….you have inspired me to soothe the artist beast inside. since this ‘left-handed moment-in-time’ has given me new/improved(?) opportunities to stay seated for long periods of time…it is…time well spent to practice. i need lots of practice but i thank you for your comment. raye

I’m lucky my left hand hasn’t just up and left. It clearly hates me. Amazing you can do that with yours!

this left-handed ‘moment in time’ has given me a whole new perspective on…just about everything….
thank you for stopping by.

just looked you over…kidfree…what are you doing slumming around my stagnant yet not dust-free pond? my curious quotient is certainly peaked and my left-hand aches…you wanted to know that, right?

you’ve nailed that one….she could do both of us blindfolded and it would still be brilliant!! amazing that one….

Would it be too far fetched to consider the possibility (tip-toeing around it) that you might turn out to be ambidextrous after this right hand hiatus?! Fabulous drawing π Alexandra

don’t know about ambidextrous but it is a challenge. on another note…your ‘missives’ may i call them missives?…are very good. thank you.

Don’t sell your left hand short. I love it, and am wondering about the story of how teh ends got nipped and frayed.

frayed ends… yes..you are right El G…it’s the caffeine and the dr. telling me to quit whining…nice to see you back among us ‘normal’ ones…

I’m sure people will be frustrated that you draw better with your opposite hand than they do with either. I only draw with my left hand, on the rare occasion I draw at all. Nice rope!

lisa (zeebra designs…) is right…the hand/eye connection takes more practice than one would expect. i see many flaws..but thank you for dropping by the studio and spending some time over a much needed cuppa!
